H.E. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Mohammed Bin Saud Al Thani
H.E. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Mohammed Bin Saud Al Thani is The President Commissioner of Indosat since August 2008. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Qatar Telecom (Qtel) and The Chairman of Wataniya International. Born in Qatar, his previous position was as Chief of the Royal Court / Amiri Diwan from 2000 to 2005. He earned his pilot education in The British Royal Air Force and then become an instructor. He was also studied in Senior Military War College for the Armed Force, USA.

Mr Chris Kanter Mr Chris Kanter is a Commissioner of Indosat starting January 28, 2010. He is a respected Indonesian businessman and business community leader. He is Chairman and Founder of Sigma Sembada Group, a major turn key contractor with transportation and logistics arms. He had been Vice President of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN Indonesia), continuously since 1994 and is committed to national economic development and reform. In addition to his commercial interests, Mr Kanter has also held a number of roles in the Indonesian Government and has been closely involved with The Policy Package for Improving Investment Climate in Indonesia. |

Nasser Marafih Nasser Marafih is the Commissioner of Indosat since August 2008. He is the GSM pioneer in Qatar and has brought Internet to Qatar in 1996. In addition to his role as Qtel’s CEO, Dr. Marafih has recently been appointed as CEO of Wataniya International. He also worked at the University of Qatar in the department of Electrical Engineering between 1985 and 1994, first as a lecturer and research assistant and then as assistant professor of the department. Dr. Marafih earned his Bachelor degree of Science in Electrical Engineering, a Master of Science and a PhD. in Communication, all from George Washington University, USA.

Rachmat Gobel
Rahmat Gobel is the Commissioner of Indosat since August 2008. Born in September 1962, Mr. Rachmat is the fifth son of seven siblings of H. Thayeb Mohammad. After finishing his degree in International Trade at Chuo University, Tokyo, he was employed at his father company as trainer staff. When he started to enter top management level, his knowledge and experience plays an important role. He managed to invite Matshushita to make a direct investment in Indonesia. Rahmat Gobel is known for his idealism in business, with high work ethic.

Richard F. Seney
Mr. Seney is Commissioner of Indosat since 11 Juni 2009. Mr. Seney joined Qtel in May 2007 and is currently the Chief Operating Officer of Qtel International. He was previously President and Chief Executive Officer of U.S.-based MCT Corp. from 1992 through February 2007. MCT developed and operated 27 ventures providing mobile wireless telecommunications services in Central Asia and Russia. Mr. Seney’s operating roles in the mobile industry began in 1985 with US-based Charisma Communications Corporation, where he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer through the sale of Charisma’s operations in 1986 and 1987. He also served for many years as General Manager and VP of the General Partner of MCT Investors, L.P. (“MCTI”), which develops telecommunications and health care ventures. Mr. Seney also served in the emerging companies practice of Arthur Andersen & Co. (Washington, D.C. office) from 1976 to 1985. He graduated from the University of Virginia's McIntire School of Commerce in 1976.

Alexander Rusli
Mr. Alexander Rusli is a commissioner of Indosat starting January 28, 2010. He is also a commissioner of PT Krakatau Steel (Persero), the 100% state-owned company that produces carbon-steel products, providing half the total Indonesian market. He was formerly Expert Advisor to the Minister for State-Owned Enterprises, with oversight on 140 SOEs and more than 500 subsidiaries. Prior to this he was an Expert Advisor to the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, where he was involved in the formulation of policy, regulation and in overseeing the national state ICT infrastructure projects, a position he held under two cabinet ministers. Mr. Rusli has also acted as a Principal Consultant for Pricewaterhouse Coopers. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy, Information Systems, Curtin University of Technology.

Soeprapto
Mr. Soeprapto has been an Independent Commissioner and a member of our Audit Committee since June 2005. In the past, Mr. Soeprapto has held several positions, including Assistant Personnel to the Army Chief of Staff of the Republic of Indonesia from 2000 to 2001, and a Commissioner of PT Nusariau Kencana Coal from 2001 to 2003. In addition, Mr. Soeprapto has served as a Commissioner of PT Mentari Abdi Pertiwi since 2004. Mr. Soeprapto earned a degree in Political Science from the Open University, Jakarta and attended training at the Indonesian National Defense Institute.

George Thia Peng Heok Mr. George Thia Peng Heok, born in Singapore, November 30th 1948, has join Indosat in 2008 as member of Board of Commissioner. He finished his Master degree from Fellow of Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (U.K). Mr. George Thia Peng Heok has made a credible track record, establishing himself a true businessman status. He hold the position of Managing Director with Morgan Grenfell (Asia) in 1975 to 1985. His expertise later brought him as an Executive Director/Partner with Kay Hian Private Limited (1985-1987).
Eager for challenge, he then hold the position of Managing Director with Merrill Lynch International Bank Limited (1987-1989), followed by Managing Director position with Sun Hung Kai Securities Private Limited (1989-1991) and Lum Chang Securities Private Limited (1991-1993). He was also made Executive Chairman for Asia Matrix Limited (1993-1995). Not long after that, he became Director/Consultant for Phonix Capital Private Limited. (1995-1998). He was also made Executive Chairman at Media Stream Limited (1995-1998). Prior to joining Indosat, he was a Consultant/Director with Strategik Advisory Private Limited (2003-2006) and Asia.inc Private Limited.

Rionald Silaban
Mr. Rionald Silaban, born in Pekanbaru, April 23rd 1966. He join Indosat Board of Commissioner in 2008. Graduated from Law Faculty, University of Indonesia, he then pursuit a higher education abroad and earned his Master degree in Law (LLM) from Georgetown University Law Center, Washington DC. His career leads him to the position of Head of Secretariat for Privatization Committee for Republic of Indonesia Ministry of Finance which brings him to became Head of the Republic of Indonesia Ministry of Finance Law Bureau. Later on, he was the State Own Enterprise Privatization Directorate General Vice Director at Republic of Indonesia Ministry of Finance. He then became Head of Financial Service Division, Law Bureau of Republic of Indonesia Ministry of Finance.
After he became Head of Ministry Office Division at Republic of Indonesia Ministry of Finance Secretariat General, he takes up the challenge as Senior Advisor for World Bank stationed in Washington DC, USA. Prior to joining Indosat, after his career in USA, he was made Fiscal Risk Management Director at Republic of Indonesia Ministry of Finance. |

Jarman
Mr. Jarman was born in Bondowoso, March 23rd 1957, join Indosat Board of Commissioner in 2008. An Electronic Engineering graduate from University of Indonesia, later continued his education by earning a Master of Science degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institue, USA.
Started his career as Deputy Assistant of Energy Application Division, at Republic of Indonesia Ministry of State Own Enterprises. he later assigned to Strategic Industries Application and Telecommunication Division, Republic of Indonesia Ministry of State Own Enterprises. Moving forward he takes up the challenge as Commissioner for PT Industri Sandang Nusantara (Persero) which lead him to a position of Chief Commissioner at PT Tambang Batubara Buki Asam Tbk. Prior to joining Indosat’s Board of Commissioner |
